About

Hi! my name is Debra Boucher and I want to help you create a life that is good for your soul. I want to encourage you with tools to help you live from your deepest values and truest self. I want to help you make the practical steps and real changes that support your goals and vision for the future.

As a woman of a certain age, I know the challenges of raising children, managing a household, and working both inside and outside the home. As my children began the perilous process of finding their own way as adults, I was not prepared for how difficult and demanding it would be to launch them fully into adulthood. This season also coincided with the loss of our parents, health issues, and career upheavals that have both challenged and clarified our vision for the future.

Although I have spent much of my adult life in ministry, have a master’s degree in counseling, and am deeply woven into a strong community of faith, this season pushed me past the screaming edge. I struggled and as I shared my raw edges with the people closest to me, I found that I was not alone.

Maybe you too have walked this path, or find yourself in the middle of it. I felt like I was in uncharted territory. A place where the easy answers of my faith no longer seemed to be enough, where I could see my weaknesses walking around in the lives of my children, where their decisions challenged my vision for the future and upended my confidence as a mother.

There seem to be a myriad of places to find encouragement on the web if you are a young momma, but not so many for those of us who are learning to parent adults. We expect young moms to feel overwhelmed and disoriented by the process of welcoming a new life into their days. By the time we are watching their wobbly first steps into adulthood, our excitement can be tainted by fear and grief, anxiety and pain.

Life almost never looks like the picture we had in our heads. Grieving the losses, acknowledging the worn and broken things, and really considering what matters now will help us pick up the pieces and reimagine our lives. I want to help you build a life that is good for your soul.

  • To build intentional relationships
  • To chose to live intentional lives based on your deepest values
  • To catch the glimpses of glory in our ordinary days

Look for my Soul Care Workshops online or in-person offering you a chance to set some time aside for self-discovery and exploration.  I believe most of us don’t need a bunch of new information, instead, we need help applying what we already know. So, each session is designed to help you identify the life you long for and take practical steps to get there.

Blessings,

Debra Boucher
